Step 2: Create a New Layer

The next step includes creating a new layer. Go to Layer>New>Layer. Now, you will have a new layer. In this new layer, we will carry out all the work. 

Your new layer should be at the top of the layer stack, and since we’re working on a white background, the foreground should be set to black.

Step 3: Add Raindrops

Now it’s time to add the raindrops. You will need to work on a new layer for this. You can name the layer “raindrops”

Choose the Rectangular Marquee Tool. Once you have selected it, draw a rectangular selection around the bottom of the raindrop.

This will copy all of the layers in the document and merge them into a single layer. Now you have to merge those layers into a single layer. But merging original layers can often raise some risks. This is why, first, you have to copy all the layers and then merge them. 

To have this, click Edit> Copy Merged. Done!

Paste the selection into the “Reflection” layer.

Then, click image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation. After that, set the parameter for Hue to -180. It is also wise to set the Saturation to 100. This will give the reflection a more blueish tint.

Finally, reduce the Opacity of the “Reflection” layer to around 50%.
